Description
The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD awarded a sole-source Delivery Order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00421-09-G-0004 with Northrop Grumman of Woodland Hills, CA to provide necessary engineering software missionization to support the integration of the LN-251 into the US Marine Corps CH-53K Heavy Lift Helicopter Program. The Government is entering the ground and flight testing phase of development for the CH-53K helicopter. This aircraft uses the Northrop Grumman LN-251 Embedded Global Positioning System and Inertial Navigation (EGI). In support of the test program, the Government requires Northrop Grumman to provide software missionization support of the EGI. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance is 30 months after contract award.
