- Description
- The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for DOCKSIDE Repairs to the USCGC HATCHET AND BARGE. The acquisition will be solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quote (RFQ), on or about DECEMBER 22, 2011. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail, if requested. Send all requests via e-mail sandra.a.martinez@uscg.mil. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS: THE VESSEL’S HOMPIER – 1 FERRY ROAD, GALVESTON, TX 77553. Anticipated start date on or about MARCH 13, 2011; PERFORMANCE PERIOD - 28 DAYS. The scope of the acquisition is to: (1) Spuds, Overhaul – Barge, (2) Spud Wells, Inspect- Barge, (3) Temporary Services, (4) Deck Covering (Interior Wet) Renew, (5) Chilled and Heated water System, General Maintenance (6) Vent Ducks (Galley and Pantry Room, All) (7) Vent Dusts (Laundry Exhaust), Commercial Cleaning, (8) Vent Ducts (All other), Commercial Clean, (9) Air Handler Units (Renew) and (10) Travel and Per Diem. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures.
