- Description
- The Portland District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract for North Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging. This dredging project includes maintenance dredging at the Mouth of the Columbia River and select Columbia River bars from RM 3+00 to 105+00. Approximately 2,750,000 cubic yards will be dredged as mandatory bid items. Placement of maintenance material will be located at designated in-water placement sites. Dredging will occur in both Oregon and Washington State. Water Quality Monitoring will be required in conjunction with the current water quality certificates. Anticipated dredging start date is 20 June 2012 with an anticipated completion date of 30 November 2012. This solicitation will be available for download on or about 01 February 2012 with bid opening no less than 30 days after issue. This procurement is unrestricted and open to businesses of all sizes. The magnitude of construction for this solicitation is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Contractor for this project shall submit a Fall Protection Plan meeting the requirements of EM 385-1-1. This plan shall be prepared by a qualified person and shall be reviewed by the Government for acceptance prior to start of work on this project.
