- Description
- The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract with Aero Systems Engineering, Inc. for the modification of the A/E37T-17 Turboprop Engine Test System. Modification will include replacement of obsolete transducers and wiring, updating wiring diagrams and On-Site installation, calibration and testing of the updated unit. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. Aero Systems Engineering, Inc is considered the only supplier, as they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer and have proprietary rights to the Data necessary for the proper operation of the A/E37T-17. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Aero Systems Engineering, Inc owns the technical drawings, specifications and data rights for this product group, the Government does not. This notice provides required publication and response times IAW FAR 5.203(a). This announcement constitutes the only pre-award public announcement; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued via this website.
