- This Sources Sought Notice is to determine if there are Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses under NAICS code 562910 Remediation Services that are interested or will submitt an Offer to complete construction project 568-12-201 Replace Flooring Phase 1 at the VA Black Hills Health Care System, Hot Springs, SD. Wpork consists of abestos abatement of existing asbestos containing flooring in Buildings 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 11 and installation of new flooring and base in these areas. The project will also consists of installation of new carpet in select areas. The contractor will not be allowed to work in more than one area at a time. The etimated total square footage is 38,049 sq. ft. Estimated construction duration is 180 calendar days. Construction range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The asbestos abatement costs of the removal of the old flooring is estimated to be more than the cost of installation of the new flooring material. Therefore the NAICS code of 562910 applies. The successful awardee of this procurement must meet the requirements of FAR 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting Para. (b)(4) Construction by Special Trade Contractors - where the concern will perform at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will help establish set aside criteria for this procurement. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses that are interested in submitting an Offer and perform this work shall respond to the attention of the Contractintg Officer, Joann Walker 605-745-2070 or via e-mail at joann.walker@va.gov by close of business January 3, 2012.
