- Description
- CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - Construction Project 504-12-003, Glass Block and Cover Stairway Building #44, Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center, Amarillo, TX. The Phoenix VA Healthcare System (PVAHCS), Phoenix Arizona, intends to issue a solicitation requesting proposals to provide all work shown on the drawings and included in the specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to: The building currently has areas in which a patient could and may jump causing major injury or even death. The work required consists of adding additional concrete base to an existing wall, building a 3 foot high glass block wall on top of new concrete base, along with building a new cover for an existing outdoor stairway, and adding protective metal bars along the side of new cover and the existing stairway as specified on drawings to be issued with the solicitation. A full scope of work will be included in the solicitation documents. Performance Period is 42 calendar days after receiving Notice to Proceed. Complete drawings and specifications will be included in the solicitation document that will be available on FedBizOpps on or about December 30th, 2011. Information regarding a formal pre-proposal site visit (including time, date, and meeting location) will be provided in the solicitation. Solicitation responses will be due in the Contracting Office no later than Friday, January 27th, 2011 at 2:00pm MST. Proposal submissions shall be electronic copies submitted via the VA Vendor Portal. Information and instruction regarding the VA Vendor Portal will be included with the solicitation. Telegraphic, email, and facsimile proposals ARE PROHIBITED. This project requires the proposers/contractors to secure bonding. NOTE: ALL DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. SEE SOLICITATION FOR OFFICIAL DATES, TIMES, AND LOCATIONS OF SITE VISITS AND DEADLINES. All proposers shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov/ in order to be eligible for award. This procurement is 100 percent set aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS code is 236220. The associated size standard for this procurement is $33.5 million dollars in average gross annual receipts for the preceding three years. Project Magnitude: Between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Award is subject to availability of funding.
