Description
U.S. TREASURY ECONOMIC CRIMES ADVISORS The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Technical Assistance (OTA) is recruiting individuals on a competitive basis to serve as resident (long-term) and/or intermittent (short-term) advisors under personal services contracts, for its Economic Crimes Team. This recruitment is for assignments globally, with significant international travel required. Expertise in the development of anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing (AML/CFT) regimes, including the application of international standards in the regulatory and law enforcement arena, is particularly valuable. A minimum of ten years of experience is required. QUALIFICATIONS: Treasury is seeking candidates who possess expertise in financial sector (banks, money service business, securities, insurance, etc.) regulation and examination; investigation and prosecution of financial crimes; and/or the operation of financial intelligence units. Background in forensic accounting; internal audit; asset tracing and forfeiture; legislative drafting; electronic evidence methods; business process planning and information technology application; and/or curriculum development and adult education are also valued, as is foreign language ability. Prior overseas experience working or training in challenging environments; managerial experience; as well as foreign language fluency, should be highlighted by applicants, but are not mandatory requirements. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salaries are negotiable in accordance with government regulations based on demonstrated salary history and market comparability of similar positions. The salary range is from $123,758 to $155,500 (at equivalent hourly pay) Overseas benefits are provided as allowed by federal regulations. Successful applicants will be subject to medical clearance and a background security investigation at the appropriate level.
