- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source, Firm Fixed Price, Requirements contract for one year base period and four one year option periods with Biotronik, Inc., of Lake Oswego, Oregon. This procurement is for Remote Monitoring of Implanted Biotronik Cardiac Devices. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of January 9, 2012 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Logistic O&AL internet web site at https://www.fbo.gov/. Offers will be due by 4:00 pm Central Standard Time on February 8, 2012. Point of contact for this procurement is Timothy Richards by phone at 708-786-4959 or email at Timothy.Richards@.va.gov. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the due date as indicated on this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
