- NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for aeronautical rotary wingengineering, research and development, systems analysis and modeling simulation. A DraftRFP (DRFP) and Draft Statement of Work (SOW) will be posted initially, seeking commentsfrom interested parties. The Rotary Wing Engineering Modeling and Simulation (REMS) procurement is a follow on toNNA07BB01C. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standardare 541330 and $27M, respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.The anticipated release date of the DRFP is on or about 27 December 2011 with commentsdue on or about 13 Jan 2012. The RFP is anticipated to be released on or about 31January 2012 with proposals due on or about 16 March 2012. NASA FAR Supplement Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. Itis the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps and the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service for the release of any solicitation. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any).
