- Fort Stewart has a requirement for a pilot and helicopter with an aerial ignition system to facilitate prescribed burning operations, wildfire suppression, inspection of range and woodland areas, and other forest management activities within the boundaries of Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF), Georgia. The ignition system must be compatible with the Plastic Sphere Dispenser (PSD). Service must meet the requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) that will accompany the solicitation. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price requirements contract. Currently this requirement is unfunded. This requirement will be solicited as a total small business set aside using NAICS code 115310. A written solicitation will be posted on or about 05 JAN 12 on the Army Single Interface to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. The solicitation can be found by searching for solicitation number: W9124M12R0002. The solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. When the solicitation is issued, offerors are reminded to carefully review it and confirm the due date in block 8 of the SF 1449. The criteria and specifications of the solicitation will govern this acquisition. It is the offerors responsibility to check ASFI for any amendments to the solicitation. For a proposal to be considered complete, all amendments must be acknowledged in writing. Proposals will be evaluated on a lowest priced technically acceptable basis.
