- The United States Marine Corps (USMC) has a requirement to study potential Non-Developmental Item (NDI) solutions for the Marine Personnel Carrier (MPC) Program. This is a pre-solicitation synopsis for the procurement of a Demonstration and Study contract(s) that will further inform the USMC of existing industry capabilities. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), located at 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, VA 22134, will issue a formal solicitation to FedBizOpps on or about 24 January 2012. The requirement will be to provide representative samples of NDI MPC solutions within eight months of contract award, to be used to demonstrate and study water mobility, blast protection and Human Factor Engineering during FY13. The contract type will be a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The solicitation number for this requirement is M67854-12-R-0007. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336992. The competitive procedures used to fulfill this requirement will be full and open competition. In case of conflict between information contained in the formal solicitation and that contained in this pre-solicitation synopsis notice, the information in the formal solicitation will govern. Information contained in this notice is subject to change. No proposals are being requested at this time. This announcement does not constitute a solicitation and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.
