- This is a sources sought announcement only and is not an intent to procure. A solicitation is not available at this time and any requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This sources sought is in support of a market survey being conducted by the Installation Safety Office at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico to determine potential sources technically capable and qualified to provide two electronic message board signs on White Sands Missile Range, NM entry gates. These signs shall provide safety messages, function announcements and other messages. The Minimum specifications are as follows: -Light Emitting Diode (LED) type or other similar format lights that are visible while driving on or off post -Size should be 2 meters (height) by 3 meters (length) -Single or Double(preferred) sided -Remotely programmable by desktop or laptop (preferably by commo line or radio transmission). Software and training should be included. -One message/one function at a time OR two message capability(preferred) that has a different or same message on each side -Mounted on some type of pedestal depending on the size of sign -Outdoor use -Power requirements (please specify each type) -Cold/Heat resistant (Provide any temperature data, if available) -Wind/Water resistant (Provide any wind resistant testing, if available) -Full color units capable of multiple combination of colors -Resolution cable of face picture display (optional) -Maintenance and repair services after installation (1 year, 2 years, or 3 years) The North American Industry code for this acquisition is 339950 with a size standard of 500 employees. The information and capabilities submitted by the vendors will be used to prepare a prospective offerors list and aid in acquisition strategy. Include any suggestions on what your firm would consider standard commercial practices. Please indicate what type of company your business is (small business, 8(a), veteran-owned small business, etc.). Again, participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the Government. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if a solicitation is not issued. Any responses to this notice expressing interest in being considered for this proposed contract should include the following: Company Name, Point of Contact, Address, Telephone and Fax numbers, E-mail address, Business Size, DUNS number, Cage Code, and Tax ID number. Notice to Potential Offerors: All offerors who provide goods or services to the DOD must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR), Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) as well as, the Wide Area Work Flow System (WAWF). All interested offerors should submit their information by email to frank.r.perez16.mil@mail.mil. RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 3:00 PM MST, 31 JANUARY 2012. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT OR TO OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. This request is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Request for Proposal (RFP), or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your responses to this sources sought will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this sources sought or Government use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or part, any contractor input resulting from this sources sought. The information resulting from this sources sought may be included in one or more RFP's, which may be released via the FEDBIZOPS portal.
