- Description
- The Department Of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 15) intends to issue a sole-source award, to ev3, Inc, for endovascular devices used for directional atherectomy procedures. Ev3 is the sole source manufacturer with no distributors in the USA. This is for the VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 procedures. Interested organizations must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications for providing these devices in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 1630 hrs Central Time Zone on 27 December 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP/RFQ will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
