- The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region intends to award a sole source contract to Daggett County Sheriff's office located at P.O. Box 219 95 North 1st Ave Manila Utah 84046. The objective of this contract is for the Government to acquire a year-round guard force for physical security services that include interacting with the general public, Government employees, Law Enforcement, and other contractors, in order to be able to protect the lives and property at and around the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) Flaming Gorge Dam and Facilities by using physical and electronic surveillance methods, physically detaining when necessary, calling upon there Law Enforcement and Reclamation when necessary, and using force and deadly force when necessary. The Contractor will also be required to aid in the protection of lives and property in remote locations that would include other Reclamation facilities or facilities owned by other agencies which Reclamation has security agreements with the use of electronic surveillance methods and responding to situations using available telecommunications methods. A Justification and Approval has been processed for this requirement. The Government anticipates awarding a sole source contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561612 (Security Guard Services). This requirement is intended as a sole source contract due to the fact that the Sheriff's office is the only law enforcement agency that can immediately comply with and respond to Reclamation's Threat Condition Protective Measures for MC facilities.
