- Description
- The Government wishes to conductmarket research on sources available to provide Common Supply Services (CSS) for Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS). NTCSS provides the unit commanding officer of ships, submarines, aviation squadrons, and intermediate maintenance (afloat and ashore) activities the ability to manage: ship/aircraft maintenance, parts inventory, finances, technical manuals and drawings, personnel information, food service, and ships store. In order for NTCSS to meet future Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, NTCSS must transition from a legacy client-server architecture to a modern and sustainable open architecture. All NTCSS applications rely on a set of core supply functionality that are intended to be grouped together as a set of Common Supply Services (CSS).
