Description
The Utah Air National Guard, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures intends to award a sole source task order, to the current provider, AT&T, for cell service against Contract W91RUS-11-A-0007, which was issued at Fort Huachuca for use by all Army organizations. FAR 6.302-1 only one source is available 10 U.S.C. 2304c (b) (2) as implemented in FAR 16.505(2) (iii) and DFARS 215.505- 70(b) (2): The order must be issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency as a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the contract, provided that all awardees were given a fair opportunity to be considered for the original order. The sole source determination is based on the need for continuity of wireless service. The Utah Air National Guard is currently using approximately 140 phones with a variety of services. AT&T is the only vendor capable of renewing the plan currently in use to avoid a break in coverage. It is in the Government's best interest to renew the BPA with AT&T. No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Responses to this posting must be submitted via e-mail; no phone calls will be accepted. A determination not to compete the described task order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. Any questions or comments should be directed to Douglas K. Bills Contract Specialist via e-mail at douglas.bills@ang.af.mil.
