- Description
- The subject requirement is for acquisition of 1 NSN. This proposed procurement includes items within the Federal Supply Class 4710. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about "22 December 11" at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfq. The scope of this contract includes the acquisitioning for 3D part number item. This signifies that this item requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB Destination basis. The proposed procurement contains a 50% option which may be exercised at time of award or after award during the period of the contract delivery schedule minis fourteen days. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This NSN requires Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic order agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 13.5, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis other than full and open competition under FAR Part 13.5 Commercial.
