- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) awarded a contract to The GEO Group, Inc. for Detention Services in support of the DHS mission at a Contractor Owned-Contractor Operated facility in the San Antonio Field Office's Area of Responsibility (AOR). The facility will house up to 1,800 male detainees taken into custody pending removal proceedings. The Contractor will furnish all of the necessary services in their South Texas Detention Center (STDC) facility located in Pearsall, TX in accordance with ICE 2008 Performance Based National Detention Standards, ACA, Adult Local Detention Facilities, 4th Edition, state and local laws. The contract is for a base period of December 26, 2011 through November 30, 2012 with four (4) one-year options.
