Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando VA Medical Center, Orlando, FL intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, with American Society of Health System Pharmacists, 7272 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814, to purchase services for the annual renewal fee to maintain ASHP accreditation of our pharmacy residency program. Interested parties may identify their experience in providing accreditation of Department of Veteran Affairs, pharmacy residency program services to the Contracting Officer via e-mail at trevor.silcott@va.gov or fax 407-646-4985. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement constitutes the only notice issued; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The associated NAICS code is 813910 and small business size standard is $7.0M. The acquisition is not set-aside and is being negotiated a sole source procurement. The requirement for accreditation services includes the following: ITEM 1. Annual Fee to maintain accreditation of our pharmacy residency program includes periodic inspections of our VA's pharmacy residency program, along with consultative activities to help maintain our program up to speed, and provide continuing education and other training for preceptors involved in the residency program. Period of service: Date of Award - 12/31/2012. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by providing a capability statement and qualification which must contain specific information on supplying this type of service. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within 72 hours after the submission date of this synopsis shall be used by the Government as the basis to consider soliciting competitive offers for future requirements. Responses are due by 9:00 AM EST on Dec 28, 2011. Responses may be faxed or emailed to Trevor A.
