- Secuirty and Suitability Requirements for each location Notice of Intent for Sole Source: Purchase Lexmark T654 Printer Kits including Installation SSA-RFQ-12-1095 The Social Security Administration (SSA ) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Lexmark International, Inc., 1100 15 th Street NW, Suite 700, Washington D.C. 20005 to purchase and install T654 Printer Maintenance Kits Nationwide. SSA estimates a quantity of 100 kits per year for a base year and three option years. These kits are considered a part and not a consumable and are therefore not available legally on the GSA Schedule. There are potentially 1,600 locations that a vendor would be required to access for installation. A vendor is not permitted onsite at any location without first being approved by our Security and Suitability office. (See Security and Suitability requirements attached for details.) Approval can take up to three to four weeks if not longer. The anticipated contract line items are: CLIN 0001 Lexmark T654 Printer Maintenance kit including installation. The period of performance will be a base year and three option years. Any other vendor that can provide the maintenance kits and installation to all 1,600 locations nationwide must present an electronic version of its commercial price list and meet the Security and Suitability Requirements for each location. The Government will neither pay for information received nor provide evaluation results to the sender. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not constitute a request for quotation. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, SSA will proceed with a sole source acquisition. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted in writing to Katie.Cooney@ssa.gov by Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 12:00 PM EST. Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
