Remove and dispose one (1) existing 500 - gallon propane tank and remove, relocate and reinstall one (1) existing1000 - gallon propane tank. 17. Place of Contract Performance: Warehouse 208, Section 6, and Building 286 (MHE area) Defense Location Agency (DLA) Defense Distribution Depot- San Joaquin Sharpe Site 18. Set-aside Status: Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business Concerns (b) Solicitation specifications will not be provided in hard paper copy or CD format. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition shall be posted on the FedBizOpps Government website www.fbo.gov on 22 November 2011. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check FedBizOpps frequently for any amendments or changes the solicitation. (c) Installation: Contractor shall provide and install four (4) New, Vent Free type, high Intensity Infra-red heaters utilizing propane gas, each rated a minimum of 50,000 BTU/hr. Heater style shall be surface combustion type. Reflector shape shall be parabolic. Heaters shall be equipped with burner utilizing propane gas and each heater shall be provided with a gas pressure regulator that will satisfactorily limit the main gas burner supply pressure for indoor use. Heaters shall have an intermittent or interrupted electrically-ignited pilot or a direct electric ignition system. Space thermostats shall have 3 degrees Fahrenheit differential and set point range of 50 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit and shall be set at 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Thermostats shall control the burner and thermostats shall be mounted to the closest column that is accessible. Install a mechanical twist timer for each thermostat and the timer shall be manually set, mechanically driven timer, or electronic timer, without a "hold" feature. Time intervals shall be selectable for up to 2 hours of operation and shall expire unless reset. (d) Relocate and dispose: Contractor is to disconnect, remove and dispose of one (1) existing 500-gallon propane tank located on the southeast corner of Building 208, including piping to the building. Disconnect and relocate ond (1)existing 1000-gallon propane tank located southeast of Building 286 (MHE area) to south of Building 208. Prior to relocation, pressure test and inspect tank. Contractor shall secure and reuse the 500-gallon tank existing foundation supports as required for the re-located 1000-gallon propane tank and replace pressure regulator and valve. It is the contractor's responsibility to re-enforce the foundation supports as necessary. Contractor shall verify existing conditions and dimensions. Slated time for completion shall include final clean-up of the premises. (1) National Stock Number (NSN) - Not Applicable (2) Provide and Install four (4) new, vent-free, Infra-red, radiant heaters. Disconnect, remove and dispose one (1) existing (500-gallon) tank, and remove, relocate and reinstall one (1) existing (1000-gallon) propane tank. (3) Quantity: Four (4) New Infra-Red Gas Radiant Heaters, one (1) existing 500-gallon propane tank, and one (1) existing 1000-gallon propane tank (4) Unit of Issue: Lump sum (5) Destination Information: Warehouse 208, Section 6, and Building 286 (MHE area) Defense Location Agency (DLA) Defense Distribution Depot, Sharpe Site (DDJC) San Joaquin, CA, (6) Delivery/Duration of Contract Period/ Performance for Schedule: No later than 60 calender days after notice to proceed (NTP) (7) Proposed Contract Action: (i) This acquisition is proceeding as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This RFQ is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVO) and all responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The award decision will be based on the lowest acceptable price that specifies a product that meets the technical specifications of the requirements. (ii) Estimated Cost Range is between $25,000 $50,000 (iii) The anticipated award date is 23 December 2011 (8) This procurement is subject to the Buy American Act- Construction Materials FAR 52.225-9 (9) Technical data including plans, drawings and specifications will be furnished through FedBizOpps with the solicitation at https://www.fedbizopps.gov This Procurement will be conducted under FSC code: Z2GZ; NAICS Code: 238220. The size standard for this code is $14,000,000.00.
