- All questions regarding this SYNOPSIS should be submitted in writing to the following E-Mail address: Punnie.Chittchang@usace.army.mil. This Acquisition shall be competed as a 100% small business set-aside requirement. This synopsis is for the purpose of a pre-solicitation notification only. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District intends to issue solicitation number W912BV-12-T-0032 to provide Herbicide Application Services to Canton Lake, Canton, Oklahoma. Herbicide Application Services include the application of herbicides to kill vegetation in areas such as roadsides, guardrails, rip raps, downstream embankments and the maintenance yard. Work also includes contractors to properly dispose of excess materials and containers. Performance of work is for the areas at Canton Lake, Canton, Oklahoma. The contract type will be a firm fixed price contract for the period of 1 April 2012 - 31 March 2013. The contract will also include four (4), one (1) year option periods to be exercised at the purview of the government. A pre-conference meeting/site visit is scheduled for 9 a.m. CST, Tuesday, February 28th, 2012 at Canton Lake Office to familiarize potential bidders with the general conditions of the performance site. Attendance is not mandatory but encouraged. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this program is 561730, a Classification Code of S207, and a business size standard of $7 million. The Government will award a contract resulting from the subsequent solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer is conforming to the requirements of the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government considering price. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only on FebBizOpps Website at http://www.fbo.gov. Notification of amendments shall be made via FebBizOpps only. It is the contractors' responsibility to check the above-listed internet address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Any amendments issued to the solicitation must be acknowledged by potential offerors. No corrections and/or changes to proposals will be allowed after the proposal submittal due time and date. Estimated solicitation issue date is on or about the estimated date of December 30, 2011. Quotations are anticipated to be due on or about March 9, 2012. Contractors must be registered and current with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to receive a Government contract award.
