Description
DOL Wages Enclosure 2 Enclosure 1 Statement of Work RFQ Package SF-1449 Cover Letter The Coast Guard Academy is looking to hire a company to create as-built AutoCAD floor plans for a number of our buildings. 1.0 Introduction 1.1 The Coast Guard (CG) is undertaking a validation of its real property inventory. In order to do this, the CG must have an accurate size (area) of our buildings. 2.0 Scope 2.1 The scope of this project will require the contractor to provide as-built floor plans in AutoCAD (version 2009) by physically measuring every space in the buildings listed below. 3.0 Location 3.1 U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT 4.0 Best Value Criteria 4.1 This is a best value solicitation. Evaluation Factors other than cost or price when combined are approximately equal to cost or price. The contractor will be evaluated on the following factors: 4.1.1 Factor 1: The contractor will provide a description of their methodology for obtaining the requested information and equipment used to gather the information 4.1.2 Factor 2: The contractor shall provide their stated accuracy of obtaining measurements and areas. 4.1.3 Factor 3: The contractor shall provide an example floor plan with data annotations (e.g. room numbers, dimensions, etc) of their typical product. This example shall be the basis of what the contractor will be expected to deliver, along with any additional information required in section 6.0 and as shown on Enclosure (1) and (2). 4.1.4 Factor 4: Contractor shall provide a proposed schedule assuming a 30 January 2012 start date (contract award will dictate actual start date). See section 9.0 - Schedule for additional information. 4.1.5 Price. Show price break down per building; price will be evaluated on overall price (to include optional bid item). Include all required travel, lodging, and per diem costs in price. [This is a firm-fixed price. Estimated areas are assumed to be within 10% accuracy and no price adjustment will be allowed unless overall area exceeds 10% of total GSF of all buildings combined.] 5.0 Site Visit 5.1 A site visit will be conducted on Friday, 6 January 2012 starting at 0900. The site visit will include a walk thru of every building, not every space. 5.2 All interested contractors will meet in Leamy Hall, main entrance. Attendance is not mandatory, but is highly encourage to allow full scoping of the project. 5.3 Please send the name(s) of the individual(s) that will attend the site visit NLT Tuesday, 3 January.
