- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a need for a new Terminal Flight Data Management (TFDM) system to be used by controllers at 500+ FAA owned or operated Airport Traffic Control Towers (ATCTs) in the National Airspace System (NAS).This announcement provides a FAA Market Survey-Request for Information (RFI) for the TFDM system. The purpose of this RFI is to:1.Identify available products in the market place that could meet the FAA's requirements for TFDM.2.Identify potential technical approaches for the development of a system which will meet the FAA's TFDM requirements. 3.Obtain vendor comments regarding the draft Initial Program Requirements Document (iPRD).4.Obtain industry insight regarding acquisition, implementation, and support strategies for TFDM.5.Obtain additional industry insight regarding Air Traffic Control Tower automation systems.
