- U.S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal, AATD Contracting Division (AATD Contracting), Fort Eustis, Virginia, in support of the T-55 Engine Component Improvement Program (CIP), intends to award an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for maintenance and/or improvement of the operational readiness, safety reliability, maintainability, durability, and mission effectiveness of the U.S. Army T-55 series engines. The contract will have a minimum value of $500,000 and a maximum of $84,900,000, with a five year ordering period. Orders will be placed on a cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) basis through use of Engineering Program Notices (EPNs). The first task/delivery order will meet the contract minimum of $500,000 and includes the attached EPNs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 336412. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Honeywell International, Inc. located at 111 South 34th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85034, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals or capability statements. The Government will consider all submissions received within forty-seven days after date of publication of this synopsis solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All written submissions should be submitted no later than February 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. EST to U. S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal, AATD Contracting Division (AATD Contracting), ATTN: Erika Faith Matthews, Bldg 401 Lee Blvd., Fort Eustis, Virginia 23604-5577. The Government's determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
