- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are being requested via this synopsis and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition Number W81EWF13009361 is being issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-54. This requirement is 100% set aside for Small Businesses under NAICS Code 334513 with number of employees not exceeding 500. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Vicksburg, MS, Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory, has a requirement for: BACKGROUND: The US Army Engineer Research & Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL), requires a new micro-gravimeter to replace the existing Lacoste and Romberg Model D unit. This unit will be used for ground based gravity surveys for geophysical and geotechnical applications. The new micro-gravimeter will be used to make relative measurements, not absolute measurements. SPECIFICATIONS: Shall have a high level of repeatability in field use without suffering tares Shall be able to withstand up to a 20g shock unclamped and still repeat within 5 microgals Shall have an operating range of 8,000mGal without resetting REQUIREMENTS: 1. Technical brochure must be provided for item quoted. 2.
