- In accordance with FAR Part 12 and in conjunction with FAR Part 15, The U.S. Army Contracting Command - APG - Natick Contracting Division in support of PM-SCIE has a requirement for the production of the Army Multi-Purpose Tool with Carrying Case. This is a Full and Open acquisition.. The Army Multi -Purpose Tool with Carrying Case will not replace any Multi - Purpose Tool currently in the Army supply system. The Government is anticipating awarding a 5 year IDIQ contract(s) with a guaranteed minimum of 50,000 a maximum of 600,000 Army Multi -Purpose Tool with Carrying Case combined from all contracting actions. The technical requirements/purchase description for the multi-purpose tool and carrying case are defined in GL/PD-11-17 (TOOL, MULTI-PURPOSE AND ACCOMPANYING CARRYING CASE), drawings 2-6-0915 (M-9 Multi-tool pouch assembly Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) II), 2-6-0916 (Patterns, M-9 Multi-tool pouch MOLLE II), GL/PD 10-07 (Cloth Duck, Textured Nylon) and PD-05-03 (MOLLE Accessories.). The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract consisting of one (1) base ordering period and four (4), one (1) year optional ordering periods. The Government may award several, one or no contracts as a result of this solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332212, and the size standard is 500 employees. The Request for Proposal will be posted on the Natick Contracting Centers website; https://www3.natick.army.mil, on or about 13 January 2012.
