- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.105 to Shiers Communication Specialists Inc, 205 Stenston Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180-5629. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center, Vicksburg, MS, Security Office requires installation, configuration, and programming services to access controls and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems for the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Vicksburg, MS Site. Shiers Communication Specialists Inc has performed communication and other security related services at the ERDC Hanover, NH Site (Cold Regions Research Engineering Laboratory), ERDC Champaign, IL Site,(Construction Engineering Research Laboratory), Alexandria, VA Site (Topographical Engineering Center). These systems will be an extension of the ERDC HDQS security system, and therefore needs to be integrated and programmed as such to insure compatibility and sustained performance between the entities. To reduce any threats and/or vulnerabilities of the ERDC HDQS security system, Shiers Communication Specialists Inc is the only source that can provide these services. This is not a request for a competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist listed below not later than 4:00 p.m. CST on 30 December 2011. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to jenny.r.jabour@usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
