- Extension of Services pursuant to FAR 52.217-8 entitled "Option to Extend Services" The Defense Logistics Agency provided focused logistical support to America's Armed Forces around the world. The Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin is a Strategic Distribution Platform with facilities at Tracy and Lathrop, California. The installation support services at the Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin include: facilities and housing maintenance; operations and maintenance of utility systems; operations and repair of HVAC and mechanical systems; material handling equipment (MHE) and vehicle maintenance; grounds maintenance and repair; and miscellaneous services. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to extend services under Contract SP3100-05-C-0016 pursuant to FAR 52.217-8 entitled "Option to Extend Services" with NANA Services, LLC under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any proposal received will not be considered. This determination not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Follow-on services to Contract SP3100-06-C-0016 have been previously synopsized under solicitation SP3300-11-R-0001 and notice of award of follow-on contract has been synopsized under Contract SP3300-12-C-0003. Due to a protest against the agency and the automatic stay provisions of the Competition in Contracting Act, an extension to the existing contract is required and will be exercised effective February 1, 2012 with the incumbent contractor (NANA Services, LLC).
