- Modification 002, 12/23/2011 to Solicitation VA-259-12-Q-0007, Inspect, Test, Maintenance, Calibration and Single Line Drawings of Electrical Power Distribution System The following clarifications are the result of questions from the facility walk through on December 20, 2011. 1.All low voltage breakers shall be tested in conformance to manufacturer ™s secondary injection testing method. 2.Primary testing method of circuit breakers will only be on the medium voltage breakers of the main distribution switch (Square D, 13.2 Kv). 3.Inspection, testing, maintenance and calibration shall occur within a two week period. This is dependent on the vendor ™s dispatch of personnel and approved schedule. The schedule as submitted by the vendor shall utilize weekends and those hours outside of the normal work days of the Medical Center. 4.Shutdown of mechanical systems, fire alarm system, steam generation, chilled water system and other equipment shall be coordinated by the vendor at the utility plant, Building 9. Additional coordination resulting in assistance from VA Maintenance & Operations staff, if needed, shall be through the Maintenance & Operation Foreman. 5.The spare circuit breaker, Main switch (Square D, 13.2Kv) shall be tested. 6.No ultrasound testing on 13.2Kv cabling. 7.Junction boxes will not be inspected. Pull boxes containing cable splices located in the ceiling of 1215-1 shall be inspected visually and by infrared. 8.Delete requirement for testing of North generator set (4D. page 10 of 60). 9.An updated file is available on the electrical panels.
