- Sole Source Letter This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FM442713330547; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-54 effective 09 Dec 2011; Defense DCN 20111220 effective 20 Dec 2011, and AFAC 2011-0714 effective 14 July 2011. This acquisition is Sole Source Set Aside to Carticel. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 The business size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6515. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 5047. Travis AFB has a requirement for Carticel. Carticel is an autologous cellular product indicated for the repair of symptomatic cartilage defects of the femoral condyle. This item is needed for an upcoming surgery that is tentatively scheduled from 12January-2February 2012. See the attached Sole Source Justification for further information. Award shall be made in the aggregate, all or none. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition.
