- Washington Closure Hanford, acting under its Prime Contract No. DE-AC06-05RL14655 with the United States Department of Energy (DOE), Richland Operations, is soliciting Expressions Of Interest (EOI) for the remediation of a highly contaminated soil from under the 324 Building located in the 300 Area of the Hanford Site in Washington. WCH has a requirement to remediate the highly contaminated soil through the floor of the existing hot cell structure. Subcontracted scope to include; upgrades to facility equipment (cranes, ventilation, etc.) to perform the remediation. Subcontracted scope to include; design, procure, fabricate, install, and remotely operate specialty equipment to remove the exiting cell liner plate and cell floor, remotely excavate highly contaminated soil, install engineered supports to structurally stabilize the building/cell, remotely backfill with controlled density fill material, and remotely package the contaminated soil for disposal at the Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility (ERDF). Award of any subcontracted work is contingent upon funding of this project, and funding is not currently available. It is the intent of WCH to issue this as an open procurement without procurement set asides.
