- This is a sources sought announcement only and is not a request for proposals or quotes. The Government does not intent to make an award on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice or otherwise pay for the information solicited herein. This notice is for the purpose of identifying potential sources and does not commit the Government to make an award and /or issue a solicitation. The Birmingham VA Medical Center, Birmingham, AL is seeking qualified vendors to provide an automated CD Burner System. The following information is provided to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs in conducting market research of industry to identify potential contractors to provide the items identified below: 1. Soma eXpedo 21xt System Package (Item #951-708290) The system consists of eXpedo Server software, unlimited eXpedo Client and eXpedo IHE Media Importer licenses. Query and Build, Automated DICOM, and System Backup profiles are provided by default. Also included is a pre- configured built-in PC with monitor. Keyboard and mouse. DISC label design software and all necessary cabling are also provided. eXpedo 21xt System with Starter package includes first year Advanced Exchange Maintenance, 200 pieces of Soma-Certified, white thermal hub-printable CD-R, one CMY color and one transfer ribbon, and 200 paper DISC holders. 2. Phone Installation & Training 3. Media & Supplies for 21xt System “ Rimage Media kit containing 500 WHT Thermal CDS, 1 CMY ribbon and 1 transfer roll (Item #3001121) The facility requires an automated CD Burner System that incorporates automated DICOM receipt of studies, automated encryption of received studies as password-protected information, automated production of received studies on one or more CDs, and automated color labeling of CDs produced. The encryption must be 256-bit AES that is FIPS 140-2 validated. Further, the system must be designed with a minimum capability of producing 100 CDs per week. An extended exchange maintenance option is requested since this system will be the main avenue for producing HIPAA-compliant information for patients and clinicians.
