- Description
- It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued in mid-January 2012. The services to be furnished under this contract are for operation of multiple boats and related maintenance services, port operations, and waterfront administration in support of Naval Submarine Support Command (NSSC), Pearl Harbor (Hickam AFB), Hawaii. The primary mission includes requirements such as (but not limited to) recoveries of exercise torpedoes at various locations within the Hawaiian Operating Area, backhaul of weapons from Pacific Missile Range Facility in Kauai, transport of weapons, pyrotechnics and ammunition in and around Pearl Harbor/Hickam, transfer of personnel, escort submarines after sea trial, navigational channel avoidance support, launch EMATT and MK30 mobile targets and search/rescue operations. The secondary mission of the boats is to support other fleet requirements including (but not limited to) vessel board search and seizure training, small boat attack training, and maritime interdiction operations. This procurement will be a total small business set-aside and will have a firm period of one year with four one-year options. This is a reprocurement. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposals (RFP will be issued in January. The RFP will be available on the MSC Website at http://www.msc.navy.mil (Contracts; N00033-12-R-2506).
