- Description
- The contractor shall accomplish Lube Oil Flush Service of the #1B Main Propulsion Diesel Engine, onboard USS Germantown (LSD 42), in Sasebo, Japan. The hot oil flush will be performed IAW Naval guidelines NSTM (NAVSEA S9086-HB-STM-010-NSTM Chapter 233 Diesel Engines). In addition to flushing the system, the refurbishment will include examining the hoses and piping, disconnects, blanking, spooling, jumpers and assistance of flushing hook-ups as needed and other associated examinations. The period of performance will be approximately 10 days or less, beginning February 21, 2012~March 1, 2012. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the NECO website on or about December 29, 2011 with proposals due by January 30, 2012. A Firm-Fixed-Price Supply type contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 13.5, Commercial and Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a Small Business Set-aside procurement. Only Small Business firms will be considered. All responsible Small Business firms may submit a proposal which shall be considered by NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes via NECO is not available at this time. Emailed or faxed completed solicitations are acceptable.
