- The VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System has a requirement for preventive maintenance services for a SPECTRANETICS model CVX-300 Excimer Laser System. The maintenance services include routine services plus electronic calibration; optical alignment and cleaning; and gas exchange consisting of the following: (1) Routine Service of Laser system, (2) Clean OC, HR and Focusing Optics, (3) Clean AR Windows, Passivate Laser Vessel, Replace Lasing Gasses (4) Verify Regulated Energy, Coupling and High Voltage settings, (5) Complete Safety Inspection Including Interlock Circuits, and Grounding Continuity, (6) Calibrate Electronics Circuits, Complete Optical Alignments, Verify Operational Warnings and Advisories, (7) Adjust Electrical Input Connections, and (8) Verify Proper System Calibration and Operation. The services include the installation of the proprietary mixture of lasing gases and associated replacement of repair parts. The service must comply with original manufacturer ™s technical standards and specifications so that the OEM warranty is retained. The CVX-300 Laser System is a patent and copyright protected high technology medical device with proprietary software controlling the operation of the laser system.
