- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research purposes. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS The proposed notice is to acquire preventative maintenance and service calls for three (3) GC/MS instruments. These instruments are: 1. Agilent 5973 Mass Selective Detector/ 7890 GC/MS System with Gerstel Single Rail Automated Sample Handling and Injection System 2. Agilent 5975C Mass Selective Detector/7890 GC/MS System with Gerstel Dual Rail Automated Sample Handling and Injection System. 3. Agilent 7000 Triple Quadrupole/7890 GC/MS System with 7693A Autoinjector and 7693A Tray. The Chemical and Biochemical Reference Data Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Materials Measurement Laboratory has the mission of promoting U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness in the development and use of materials by advancing measurement science, standards, and technology. It is essential that the three (3) Agilent Technologies instruments remain functioning to help meet the mission of the Chemical and Biochemical Reference Data Division at NIST. This maintenance shall provide for priority repair and /or replacement of parts or components as necessary in the event of failure. The Contractor/service engineer must be authorized to perform preventative maintenance and service calls on the Agilent instruments. The Contractor shall only employ tools, instruments, test apparatus, methodologies, techniques, and practices approved for use with the instrument by the manufacturer. The service protocols and instrument specifications shall be adhered to at all times. NIST is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, foreign, and small businesses. Small businesses are defined under the associated NAICS code for this effort, 811219. Please include your company's size classification in any response to this notice. If two or more small businesses are identified, we will consider a set-aside. Companies that are authorized to service the Agilent instruments are requested to email product literature and a letter identifying the Agilent instruments they are authorized to service to micole.cheatham@nist.gov no later than the response date for this source sought notice. The letter shall include also any include a third-party agreement executed by Agilent Technologies that authorizes services to Agilent instruments and information relevant to your capabilities. Also, the following information is requested as part of the response to this sources sought notice: 1. Name and size of the company. 2. Indication of the number of days after the receipt of the order that is typical for delivery of such services. 3. Warranty for parts replacement. All documents must be sent to Micole Cheatham, contract specialist, at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Acquisition Management Division, 100 Bureau Drive, Mail Stop 1640, Gaithersburg, MD 20899-1640.
