- NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is herby soliciting information about potentialsources for the delivery logistics for hydrazine propellant shipment from the hydrazinemanufacturer in the United States to the launch site in Tanegashima, Japan. The shippingrequirements are stated in the Statement of Work. Note that the hydrazine propellantwill be purchased by the GPM mission through a contract independent of this shippingprocurement. In conjuction with NASA/GSFC, the Japanese space agency (JAXA), isdeveloping and building the Global Precipitation Measurement satellite. This satellitewill be assembled in Greenbelt, MD and transported to Tanegashima Space Center inTanegashima, Japan for launch in early 2014. The specifications and drawings are linkedabove or may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=.No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites forthe release of any solicitation or synopsis. Interested offerors having the required specialized capabilities to meet the aboverequirement should submit a capability statement indicating the ability to perform allaspects of the effort described herein. Indicate whether your company has the capabilityor have shipped this type of propellant before. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; whetherthey are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or women-owned; number ofyears in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners,potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (ifpotential prime); list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant workperformed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and pointof contact address and phone number).
