Description

Limited Source Justification This is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a notice of award due to a limited source to Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. The Office of Justice Programs has entered into a task order contract for subscription services and reports. In accordance with FAR 8.405-6(g)(1), this acquisition was conducted under the authority of GSA's Multiple Award Schedule. Dun &Bradstreet maintains the copyright and proprietary system, "Data Universal Numbering System/D-U-N-S Number developed by D&B in 1962. This system is widely used by commercial industry and the Federal Government. This system was adopted as the standard business identifier for federal electronic data interchange in October 1994 and incorporated into the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in April 1998 as the Federal Government's contractor identification codes. As a result, Dun & Bradstreet is the only one source capable of responding to the Government's needs pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
