Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District intends to issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for a firm fixed price supply contract for thrust bearing oil coolers. The delivery requirement will be 180 days after date of contract award. Delivery locations will be Dworshak project in Ahsahka, Idaho and Little Goose project near Dayton, Washington. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT 1.Furnish Two Thrust Bearing Oil Coolers for Dworshak Dam Units 1&2 Each hydropower unit at Dworshak powerhouse has two internal thrust bearing oil coolers in the oil tub. The requirement is to supply four spare (4) thrust bearing oil coolers at Dworshak Powerhouse. Two (2)of these coolers will be sized for use on Hydropower Units 1 and 2. Two (2) of these coolers will be sized for use on Hydropower Unit 3. The two new spare coolers for Dworshak Units 1 & 2 shall be sized to have a minimum cooling capacity of 134 KW per generating unit or 67 KW per cooler. A minimum fouling factor of.002hrs-ft^2-F/Btu shall be included in the design. The coolers shall have the same physical dimensions as existing to fit within the existing mounting supports in the thrust bearing housing. 2.Furnish Two Thrust Bearing Oil Coolers for Dworshak Dam Unit 3 Each hydropower unit at Dworshak powerhouse has two internal thrust bearing oil coolers in the oil tub. The requirement is to supply four spare (4) thrust bearing oil coolers at Dworshak Powerhouse. Two (2)of these coolers will be sized for use on Hydropower Units 1 and 2. A minimum fouling factor of.002hrs-ft^2-F/Btu shall be included in the design. The coolers shall have the same physical dimensions as existing to fit within the existing mounting supports in the thrust bearing housing. 3.Furnish One Thrust Bearing Oil Cooler assembly (two halves) for Little Goose Dam Units 1-3 This requirement is to supply one spare (1) thrust bearing oil cooler assembly at Little Goose Powerhouse. There are two (2) semicircular oil coolers per unit/assembly. Each hydropower unit at Little Goose powerhouse has one thrust bearing oil cooler assembly. The cooler shall have the same cooling performance and physical dimensions as existing to fit within the existing mounting supports in the thrust bearing housing and be equipped with lifting fixtures to facilitate removal using the existing powerhouse overhead crane. All external steel surfaces will be blasted clean and painted with one coat of G.E. Clyptal #1202. Cooler assembly to be shipped in two semicircular halfs as shown on drawing. Along with studs, nuts, lock washers and gaskets to assemble unit complete. All welding will be performed by ASME code qualified welders. ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION The solicitation number will be W912EF-12-Q-0005 and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site, www.fbo.gov when available. No hard copies of the solicitation will be available. The solicitation is 100% Set Aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332710 with a Size Standard of 500 employees. This is not a request for quotes. It is only a notice of intent to issue a solicitation for this requirement. All prospective vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database. Contractors can obtain further information on the Central Contractor Registration database at web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and http://orca.bpn.gov/.
