- Description
- This purchase description establishes the minimum requirements for the design, operation, construction, turnkey installation and acceptance procedures for one (1) annealing heat treat furnace (the annealing heat treat furnace, in the SOW, may also be referred to as annealing furnace, or furnace) with equipment and accessories as described. The equipment shall include, but not limited to, the furnace, piping, pumps, valves, regulators, siting work, concrete work, roof penetrations, and any other incidental to establishing a turnkey system. The contractor is to provide all equipment, material, and labor to complete the tasks within the SOW, including but not limited to piping, pumps, valves, regulators, disconnects, siting work, concrete work, roof penetrations, and exhaust ducting. The equipment shall be new and unused, capable of performing its intended function in accordance with the operation and performance requirements specified. The equipment shall be complete, so that when connected to the utilities identified, it can be used for any function for which it is designed and constructed. The contractor shall be responsible for all aspects required to design, supply certified drawings, install, assemble, organize, and project manage the successful completion of the furnace turnkey system described with in the SOW. All requirements within this statement of work shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor unless otherwise stated in the SOW. Contractor shall be responsible for all requirements specified and implied within the SOW to achieve a comprehensive turnkey system. The equipment shall be one of the manufacturer's current production models which, on the date this solicitation is issued, has been designed, engineered and sold, or is being offered for sale through advertisements or manufacturer's published catalogs or brochures. Products such as a prototype unit, pre-production model, or experimental unit do not qualify as meeting the requirements specified in the SOW.
