- Sources Sought - Afloat or Mobile Personnel Berthing/Messing for Dutch Harbor and Nome, Alaska, June/July 2012. The United States Coast Guard is seeking contractors interested in submitting proposals for the afloat or mobile personnel berthing/messing at Dutch Harbor, Barrow and other possible sites in Alaska during June/July 2012. These services will be in support of deployed Coast Guard personnel participating in Alaska based response exercises in June/July 2012. This is a sources sought/market survey announcement targeting companies that can provide all necessary afloat or mobile services, facilities, and supervision to berth (lodge) and mess (prep/serve meals) to approximately 90 Coast Guard in multiple Alaska locations (approx 60 in Dutch Harbor/approx 30 in Barrow). At this time, the Government anticipates issuing a single solicitation resulting in the award of one Firm Fixed Price contract. The duration of performance is anticipated to be 45-60 days during the June/July 2012. For AFLOAT sources, the applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 483114; Coastal and Great Lakes Passenger Transportation. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. Note: A set-aside determination has not yet been made. For SHORE BASED MOBILE sources, the applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 721310; Rooming and Boarding Houses (Workers Camps). The Small Business size standard is $7.0 mil. Note: A set-aside determination has not yet been made. Interested parties should submit a brief description of their capabilities to meet the requirements along with identifying their business size. The business size shall include any applicable preference program (i.e. 8a, HUBZone, Disadvantaged, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, small business). Interested parties should provide proof of their capabilities to perform this requirement by providing a description of past contracts.
