- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER FOR RENTAL OF THE MELLON AUDITORIUM NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Facilities Management and Services Division (FMSD) under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Event Emissary for a two-day rental of the Mellon Auditorium located at 1301 Constitution Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20240-0001.lease/rent space through the General Services Administration (GSA) as applicable to regulations. The Mellon Auditorium is a GSA-owned facility. The rental of the Mellon Auditorium allows for EPA employees to travel to the meeting without having to pay or incur additional travel costs. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by 4:00 pm, EST, January 6, 2012. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Sources wishing to be considered MUST submit documentation prior to the deadline stated above, in writing, to shih.benjamin@epa.gov. Telephone requests will not be honored.
