- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), a unique supplies or services available from only one or a limited number of sources or from only one or a limited number of suppliers with unique capabilities. The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), has a requirement to procure 190 FAST 1 Intraosseous Infusion System for the Medical Simulation Training Centers (MSTCs). Critical requirements are (a) the FAST 1 System must be able to demonstrate the capability to perform an intraosseous infusion to allow for vascular access for fluid and drug infusion in shock and trauma victims; (b) the FAST 1 System must include an intraosseous infusion system with depth-control mechanism and an infusion tube with introducer, protector and remover; and (c) the first 95 systems must be delivered NLT 30 September 2012. The APM MedSim intends to make an award to Bound Tree Medical, 5000 Tuttle Crossing Blvd., Dublin, OH 43016. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which will be considered by the agency. Interested parties may email Mr. Tony Pham at chi.pham@us.army.mil no later than 18 January 2012, 12:00 p.m. EST. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received is considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Closing Response Date for this Notice of Intent: no later than 18 January 2012, 12:00 p.m. EST. DISCLAIMER: This notice does not constitute an invitation for bids or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not a commitment by the U.S. Government to procure subject products. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this notification. The Government will use the information received to determine whether other sources are available and capable to satisfy this requirement.
