- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) manufactures US currency. The BEP has two locations - one in Washington, DC and the second is located in Fort Worth, Texas. The BEP Washington DC facility currently has a requirement for "Service contract with Agilent for preventative maintenance and repair to the digilab FTIR bench and Microscope". This equipment is utilized at the BEP for support of produce development and analysis of offset inks and intaglio inks. This will be a sole source acquisition with Agilent Technologies of Wilmington DE. This acquisition is a sole source action as Digilab FTIR systems were previously serviced by Varian. In 2010 Agilent acquired Varian and became the sole source provider of Varian's line of equipment, parts, and services. As such there is no other company available to provide this routine maintenance. This will be a FAR part 12 acquisition. The contract type is firm fixed price. The period of performance is for twelve months. If your company is able to provide a Service contract with Agilent for preventative maintenance and repair to the digilab FTIR bench and Microscope as an authorized Agilent service provider than please contact: Kathleen Reidy, Contract Specialist at Kathleen.Reidy@bep.gov.
