Description
Halvorsen CLS Requirements Description Summary The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center is hosting an Industry Day, on 22-23 February 2012, to obtain industry feedback associated with an initiative by the WR-ALC/GRV to acquire CLS (possibly level 1 Performance Based Logistics (PBL)) support including material management, program engineering support, unscheduled depot level repair, and overhaul on the Halvorsen 25K Aircraft loader. These services are described in the Requirements Description Summary document posted with this announcement. Interested vendors must request explicit access to the Data Package posted with this announcement. Our acquisition strategy is still being developed and will be announced as soon as practical. The Air Force intends to acquire this CLS for the Halvorsen weapon system via a FAR Part 15 contract. The contractor will provide a broad range of support for a fleet of 443 Halvorsen loaders deployed at approximately 165 world-wide locations. The AF will also require an overhaul qualification with follow‐on overhaul effort for the fleet. On the first day of the Indusrty Day event, we will provide a brief program overview followed by one-on-one discussions. We welcome collaboration with industry to critically review our requirements and discuss mutual issues and concerns relative to our technical requirements and acquisition strategy approach. On the second day, we will continue one‐on‐one discussion sessions with each vendor interested in discussing specific issues and concerns relative to their company's interest. Each vendor will be allowed 20 minutes of discussion time followed by 10 minutes of questions from the Government representatives for the closed sessions, depending on the number of respondents. Sessions will be scheduled on a first‐come‐first-served basis. If your company is interested in participating in the Halvorsen 25K Loader CLS Industry Day, please contact Alicia Vogel by email at alicia.vogel@robins.af.mil or by phone at 478‐222‐2313. Please copy Kenneth Crovo by email at kenneth.crovo@robins.af.mil on any correspondence. If you would like to schedule a one‐on‐one session, please notify us at the time you advise of your attendance. Please respond by 3 Feb 2012. Detailed information regarding Base access, parking, and local area information will be provided to respondents at a later date.
