- Description
- USPFO of Louisiana intends to award a sole source procurement to the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge, LA 70808. The award will be made for the lease of hotel rooms, audio/visual equipment, and catered meals required for the Yellow Ribbon events held on 10-12 February 2012 and 24-26 February 2012. Requirement is for a non-casino hotel with 250 hotel rooms 10-12 February at the government per diem rate for two days and 225 hotel rooms 24-26 February 2012. Catered meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at 2000ea 10-12 February 2012 and 1190ea 24-26 February 2012. Audio/Visual equipment will also be provided for the complimentary meeting space which includes; 10' screen with drape kit, 2000 lumen LCD Data projector, mixing board with 4 ports-sound patch for each event. This procurement is being made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) 1 and FAR Part 6.302-1, for other than full and open competition; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 721110 and the small business size standard is $30 million. The Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge is the only known source that can satisfy the government's requirements on 10-12 February and 24-26 February 2012. All qualified sources must respond not later than 03 February, 0900 hours CST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
