Description
The work in this project generally consists of, but is not limited to: Base Bid Annex Building: Removal and proper disposal of the following: aluminum clad wood windows and plywood panels, and all associated blocking, trims, and sills; remaining parts of original wood windows with lead-based paint; caulk and asbestos caulk; steel door and frame; interior drywall construction as necessary for window replacement; rust and lead-based paint from steel lintels and other minor steel. Installation of thermally broken, blast-resistant, aluminum windows and all associated blocking, trims, sills, and sealants. Repair of drywall, insulation and concrete. Paint interior walls at patch and repair areas and cleaned steel. Install new window treatments. Reinstall existing window treatments. Option 1 Annex Building: Disposal of existing window treatments and installation of new window treatments. Option 2 Cross Over Building: Removal and proper disposal of the following: aluminum clad wood windows and all associated blocking, trims, and sills. Remaining parts of original wood windows with lead-based paint; asbestos caulk; and rust and lead-based paint from steel. Installation of thermally broken, blast-resistant, aluminum windows and all associated blocking, trims, sills, and sealants. Paint cleaned steel. Option 3 Annex Building: Removal and proper disposal of the existing exterior aluminum clad plywood panels and associated trim and blocking, original wood windows and all associated blocking, trims, and sills with lead-based paint, and asbestos caulk. Installation of new exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) within remaining window opening.
