- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION WILLNOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The Department of the Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Atlantic, (SSC LANT) in Charleston, SC intends to acquire, on a sole source basis, the proprietary source code for the Xtendable Server software. This action is necessary to ensure continued sustainment of the Air Force Medical Operations Agency (AFMOA) programs known as the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) and Exceptional Family Member Program-Medical (EFMP-M). The NAICS Code is 541511 and the Small Business Size Standard in millions of dollars is $25M. This acquisition is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed-Price definitive type contract with a firm delivery date to be determined later and award is expected to occur in early FY12. The proposed sole source contractor, DefenseWeb Technologies (DWT), is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the Xtendable Server which is a DWT designed proprietary software FAR 6.302-1. This acquisition is based on the determination that the Government's need can best be satisfied by supplies and services available from only one source. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to provide this service by responding in writing to our office no later than 13 February 2012 at 2:00PM EST. The Contract Negotiator for this requirement is Adam W Christopher who may be reached via email at adam.christopher1@navy.mil. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone request will be accepted.
