- ADVANCE NOTICE (SOLICITATION TO COME AT A LATER DATE) Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award on a competitive basis, using FAR Parts 12 and 15, a firm fixed unit price commercial contract for a Kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) focused Learning Management System (LMS). The award will be a best value decision and the period of performance is planned for one base year and four option years beginning in June 2012. The solicitation document number is being renumbered from HE1254-12-T-0001 to HE1254-12-R-0001 and is scheduled to post in February 2012 under the new document number. At that time, a response due date will be specified. This solicitation is unrestricted (no set-asides); however, small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and women owned businesses are encouraged to participate. DoDEA is a tax exempt federal government agency and an education activity, therefore qualifying for academic/educational pricing. In order to be eligible for award, vendors must be registered in the Federal Government's website at www.ccr.gov. Inquiries about this solicitation will not be responded to until the actual solicitation has been posted. Once the solicitation is posted, all inquiries/questions must be submitted in writing via email to Nina.Lin@hq.dodea.edu with subject line "HE1254-R-0001 Questions" by the deadline for inquiries specified in the solicitation. Answers will be provided via an amendment to the solicitation. Vendors are responsible for downloading the solicitation, all of the supporting documents, and any applicable amendments posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fbo.gov. Amendments may be posted to FedBizOpps up until the response due date, so vendors are responsible for watching FedBizOpps for any further announcements.
